End-of-Summer PicnicFor the fifth year, members and friends of Christ Church will gather to begin winding summer down... in our fabulous End of Summer/Worship on the Water Picnic. All Summer long, a faithful group has been supporting Worship on the Water... meeting new friends and sharing worship every Sunday at 9 o'clock on the Dock. All Summer long, another faithful group has been sustaining worship and ministry in town...at 9 o'clock every Sunday and 6 o'clock every Thursday. This fun-filled afternoon and evening gives us a chance to do something together! And it gives each group a chance to meet the folk who've shown up at the other worship site during the summer. What a good time for newcomers to see us at our family best! Once again, Robert and Debbie Powell have offered to
host us at their River home on Scenic Route. Plans are to begin
gathering at 910 Scenic Route about 3:00 in the afternoon for water
fun...
So mark your calendars and save the afternoon and evening. The barbeque promises to be scrumptious and abundant.... water fun for those young enough to handle it, and chairs and gentle breezes for the "quieter ones". BE SURE TO BRING A FRIEND OR TWO! |
